‘We are one.’ Ethnic Celebration brings culture together in Lacey
The crowd at the annual Ethnic Celebration at Saint Martin's University on Saturday was treated to Japanese Taiko drumming, Highland pipers and traditional dancing from Vietnam, India, Ireland and the Philippines. Organizers say the event, which was held in downtown Olympia for years before moving to Lacey in 2011, is a way for people to travel the world and learn about other cultures without leaving their own backyard.
