RENTON Though he was on an injury report for the first time in his five-year NFL career, Russell Wilson was back on the field and a full participant in Seahawks practice Wednesday, with bulky black tape over both his ankles.

Seattle’s franchise-cornerstone quarterback made the next step, literally, toward starting Sunday at Los Angeles three days after Miami’s Ndamukong Suh sprained Wilson’s right ankle on a sack in the Seahawks’ opening win.

“Right now we’re expecting him to be full go,” offensive coordinator and play caller Darrell Bevell said following Wilson’s practice in brilliant sun.

“And I don't think he has any different thoughts than that. He's amazing in his preparation. He's probably not even sleeping with all the rehab that he's doing. And I expect him to be ready to go.”

Tight end Jimmy Graham, who is more than half a foot taller than Wilson, patted his quarterback on top of the helmet to welcome him to practice.

And Wilson went through the daily bag drill with his offense that begins every practice.

Wilson hopped up and down on his right leg, did stretching and warmup drills pushing off the injured ankle, threw passes to his tight ends including Jimmy Graham and did everything he normally does in the first 30 minutes of practice.

Coach Pete Carroll said Wilson is “half-crazy” to prove to everyone he can start against the Rams a week after rallying the Seahawks to their opening win over Miami on that sprained ankle.

“He’s fine,” Carroll said.

Wilson practicing Wednesday extends his streak of not missing a practice, let alone a game, in his five seasons in the NFL quarterbacking the Seahawks.
