A 33-year-old woman is in stable condition at Providence St. Peter Hospital after she was run over by a car Sunday morning, a spokesman for the Lacey Police Department said Monday.

About 10 a.m. Sunday, the woman was standing near a midsize SUV in the 7000 block of Stone Street Southeast in Lacey when the vehicle went into reverse, backed over the woman, then continued in reverse and crashed into the living room area of a neighboring house, Sgt. Jaime Newcomb said.

A boy was behind the wheel of the SUV, Newcomb said.

No one in the house was injured, he said.

The woman, and the boy who was behind the wheel of the vehicle, are related, Newcomb said.
