A 57-year-old Portland woman was kicked off an Amtrak train Sunday night in Centralia for allegedly being drunk and disorderly, according to Centralia police.

But after she refused to identify herself to a police officer, she was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a public servant and booked into the Lewis County Jail, Sgt. Dave Clary said.

Obstructing a public servant is a misdemeanor offense, he said.

Sometime before 8 p.m. Sunday, the woman had become drunk and disorderly on a northbound train. Amtrak contacted Centralia police to have her removed.

Clary said there have been times when police have had to drag passengers off the train, but the woman was cooperative until she was asked to identify herself.

It’s not unusual for Centralia police to respond to the Amtrak station. In November, a 32-year-old woman was kicked off the train for not having a ticket. In September, a 53-year-old Tacoma man jumped off an Amtrak train near the Centennial Station in Lacey.
