Identity of Olympia man killed in Aberdeen car crash is released

The identity of an Olympia man who was killed in Aberdeen when his vehicle crashed into boulders at an elementary school was released Saturday.

Joseph Bullen, 37, was identified as the victim of the single-vehicle, single-occupant crash that occurred Thursday night, according to the Grays Harbor County Coroner’s Office.

Bullen died when he either jumped or was ejected from his 1993 Ford Taurus after it went airborne after striking the boulders, according to Aberdeen police.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, the Coroner’s Office said.
