Washington state coronavirus cases surge to 457, deaths to 31; Grays Harbor has first case

Washington state coronavirus cases surged to 457, including 31 deaths, as well as the first confirmed case in Grays Harbor County, the state Department of Health announced at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The 31 deaths have largely been reported in King and Snohmish counties, with one death also reported in Grant County, the data show.

Thurston County still has one confirmed case — an employee of the Department of Health — while the number of Pierce County cases was unchanged at 17. Forty-six cases have not been assigned to a county.

Number of coronavirus cases and deaths

King County: 270, 27 deaths.

Snohomish County: 108, three deaths.

Unassigned cases: 46.

Pierce County: 17.

Island, Kittitas counties: 3 cases each.

Kitsap, Skagit: 2 cases each.

Grant County: 1 case, 1 death.

Grays Harbor, Clark, Jefferson, Thurston and Whatcom counties: 1 case each.

Total tests

Positive: 457.

Negative: 4,350.
