A 43-year-old man who was found dead at a bus shelter in Olympia has been identified, according to the Thurston County Coroner’s Office.

About 11 p.m. June 19, Olympia police and fire crews were dispatched to a bus stop near Martin Way East and Sleater Kinney Road after a bicyclist reported seeing the man’s body.

Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock identified him Tuesday as Eric N. Ferguson of North Carolina. The cause of death is still to be determined through toxicology results.

Ferguson’s death, plus a man who died June 18 in a west Olympia Olive Garden restaurant bathroom, are both thought to be drug-related overdoses, Warnock said.
