Pedestrian hit and killed by city bus in Grays Harbor County has been identified

A 33-year-old man who was hit and killed by a city bus in Grays Harbor County early Thursday morning has been identified, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 7 a.m., the city bus was headed north on state Route 115 near Ocean City State Park.

Meanwhile, troopers say Robert D. Nelson of Aberdeen was standing in northbound SR 115. Nelson was hit by the bus and died at the scene, according to State Patrol.

The 62-year-old bus driver from Humptulips was not injured.

Troopers say it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
