A 48-year-old man was shot and killed Friday night on Marvin Road as a result of road rage, Lacey police said Sunday.

Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Marvin Road Northeast just before 9 p.m. Friday.

The suspect and victim were unknown to each other, and the incident happened relatively quickly, Sgt. Jon Mason said Sunday.

“It was not a protracted road-rage incident,” he said.

Other details about the shooting were not immediately available. Lacey police are expected to release more information on Monday, he said.

Thurston County jail information shows that a 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder. The 48-year-old victim has been identified as Eddie Park, according to the Thurston County Coroner’s Office.

Both men are from Lacey, Mason said.
