Need a Super Bowl plan? Here are some Olympia-area places to watch the game

The big game is finally here: It’s the Seattle Seahawks versus the New England Patriots — the Hawks crush them, right? — to decide the winner of Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California.

If you want to cheer on the team with your fellow fans on Sunday, The Olympian again has a few suggestions.

Although it’s best known as a coffee shop, Forza Coffee Co. in west Olympia is holding an all-ages Super Bowl viewing party at its new location, 1800 Cooper Point Road SW, Suite 13.

The doors open at 2:30 p.m., said owner Ryan Lindstrom.

“I’m a die-hard fan, so why not, right?” he said about his gathering. “I didn’t get a Super Bowl ticket, so I might as well throw a party.”

Some of the Forza Coffee Super Bowl specials include $1 off bottled beer, $6 mimosas and $10 for six chicken wings, he said. They also plan to serve pulled-pork sandwiches with coleslaw, Lindstrom added.

His location happens to be the former site of Phoebe’s Pastry Cafe, which means they are still producing pastries and sandwiches using Phoebe’s recipes, he said.

Forza Coffee seats about 40 people, Lindstrom added.

The Office Tavern

Another option is to visit The Office Tavern in Tumwater at 2030 Mottman Road SW.

The longtime business opens at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. It seats 110 customers and it has seven TVs, said owner Mitzie Phegley.

There are no specials planned, except for the one they always run on Sundays: all-you-can-eat spaghetti, bread and salad for $9.99, which starts at 4 p.m., she said.

She also reminded Super Bowl fans that they have a big parking lot and single-story building, meaning there are no stairs to enter it for those fans who might need easier access.

Mitzie, by the way, has been to five Super Bowls, she said. The last one she attended was Super Bowl LVI in which the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20.

Farrelli’s Pizza

If you’re in the mood for pizza and football on Sunday, Farrelli’s has got you covered, said Chief Marketing Officer Clayton Krueger.

Farrelli’s has four locations in Thurston County: Two in Lacey (Yelm Highway and Hawks Prairie), as well as in Yelm and Tumwater.

For Super Bowl Sunday, they are doing 20% off any pizza, any size, all day and at all locations, he said. They also are offering $4 pints of Heidelberg and $6 classic cocktails.

Those dine-in specials do not apply to takeout business.

If you’re looking for a takeout deal, Farrelli’s has the “Hawks Snacker Platter,” which is half an order of traditional bread sticks, half an order of fire bread sticks — served with jalapeno cream cheese, Farrelli’s fire sauce and red pepper flakes — and a full order of chicken wings for $25, he said.

“The TVs will definitely be on,” Krueger said.
