Man found in Budd Inlet identified
The man found floating in Budd Inlet on Sunday, May 29 has been identified as Scott V. Ashcraft, 57.
Coroner Gary Warnock said that Ashcraft was a transient Olympia resident. An autopsy has been performed, but a cause of death is pending further investigation.
Ashcraft was found at about 9:30 a.m. near the 400 block of 35th Avenue Northeast by someone who was walking nearby. It is unclear how he ended up in the water.
