She stole his car, so he set fire to her RV, police say
Police in Olympia have arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree arson following a RV fire early Thursday on Cooper Point Road Southwest.
According to fire officials, witnesses saw a man start the fire in the Walgreens parking lot at 1510 Cooper Point Road SW at about 5:40 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Police linked the RV to a 20-year-old woman who was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle that belonged to the arson suspect. The woman told police she and the man were friends and that the fire was set “in retaliation for stealing (his) vehicle,” according to court documents.
