The Olympia Police Department is offering a cash reward to anyone who provides useful information about Steven L. Messex, a suspect wanted in connection with a July 20 fatal shooting.

The reward is monetary and depends on how much the information aids police in their investigation, Lt. Paul Lower told The Olympian.

Messex is a 43-year-old man described as white, 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes and three tattoos: a gargoyle on his right arm, Popeye on his left forearm and barbed wire on his left arm. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police were dispatched at about 4:50 a.m. July 20 to a shooting near Percival Creek in west Olympia. They found a 34-year-old woman, later identified as Savannah M. Feiler, who had been shot to death. The shooting was reportedly prompted by an argument, police told The Olympian.

Police ask anyone who sees Messex to call 911, and anyone with information that may lead to his arrest to call OPD detectives at 360-753-8300 or non-emergency dispatch at 360-704-2740.
