A Michigan woman chose to continue playing her mother’s lottery numbers after her death, leading to a big Powerball prize.

Cheryl Williams, 63, told Michigan Lottery officials that she bought the tickets at a Sunoco gas station in Detroit and used her late mom’s numbers: 03-07-21-31-37 with PB: 11 and 02-09-20-53-54 with PB: 13.

“My mother played these two sets of numbers for years, so I decided to continue playing them after she passed,” Williams said in an April 18 news release.

“My son checked the ticket for me after the drawing that night and woke me up to tell me the good news when he saw I’d won,” she continued. “We were both speechless!”

She had won a $150,000 prize after matching four numbers and the Powerball, officials say.

With the prize money, Williams said she plans to go on a vacation and pay some bills.
