A teacher peed into a bottle while his sixth grade class was in session, Arizona officials said.

Three students at Wilson Elementary School in Phoenix went to their principal and said they saw their teacher, 52-year-old Curt Anthony Hinton, peeing in class on March 18, according to Maricopa County court documents.

An 11-year-old student told officers she heard what sounded like “water falling” and when she looked over, she saw Hinton peeing into a bottle, officials said.

He then zipped his pants up and adjusted his belt, court documents said.

Another 11-year-old student told officers she heard a zipper and saw Hinton peeing and his exposed genitals, officials said.

McClatchy News reached out to the school district for a statement on March 24 and was awaiting a response.

During an interview with Hinton, he told officers he thought his hand was covering his genitals, officials said.

Hinton told offiers he couldn’t find someone to watch his class, so he did as he used to do when he couldn’t leave a spot while serving in the military, officials said.

He was booked on four counts of indecent exposure, officials said.

He is scheduled to appear in court on March 26, officials said.
