Man killed in Sunday’s Grand Mound area shooting has been identified
A 24-year-old man who was shot and killed Sunday morning in the Grand Mound area has been identified by the Thurston County Coroner’s Office.
About 7 a.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the shooting at a home on 201st Avenue Southwest. Deputies and West Thurston Fire crews attempted to revive Jason Pascual of Rochester, but he ultimately died at the scene, The Olympian reported.
Later that same day, probable cause was established to arrest a family member on suspicion of first-degree manslaughter charges. A 19-year-old Rochester man was booked into the Thurston County Jail for the crime, The Olympian reported.
Coroner Gary Warnock said Tuesday that Pascual’s medical exam is set for Wednesday.
