Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the Nov. 14, 2025, drive-by shooting that killed brothers Alexander Borgen, 16, and Deven Borgen, 17, in Lacey.

The Lacey Police Department is investigating two shooting deaths that happened early Friday morning.
According to a social media post from the police department, two gunshot victims were located near College Street and 24th Avenue Southeast. The department said it was a double homicide involving two teenagers.
A subsequent news release from Lacey Police added more detail, saying officers reached the scene at 1:50 a.m., following reports of shots fired.
“Officers responded and located two unresponsive males with apparent gunshot wounds.” the release states. “Officers rendered aid and summoned Medics who continued life saving efforts, however both subjects died at the scene.”
Police identified the victims as brothers, ages 16 and 17. Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock confirmed that two male teenagers were the victims. The release did not identify any suspects or describe the underlying circumstances. The department release also asked anyone with information to contact police, and asked for the public’s help to acquire any video footage from the area recorded between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m.
The department statement said no further information would be provided.
